Knowing that you need to better understand this topic I recommend that you take 5 minutes to read what we have to say.

An electric fireplace provides a means of heat and cooking one’s food since Prometheus stole the first flame to give to man. A fire and a place to keep the fire have formed an integral and recognisable part of homes throughout the world. The fireplace, be it in the living room of a stately mansion or in the easy kitchen of a farmhouse, has always been a place where people could gather around to talk, romance or just have fun.

Sadly, the traditional wood fire is no longer viable in today’s world, especially in the homes and apartment blocks of modern cities that don’t have inbuilt fireplaces. However, modern technology now gives individuals the chance to love the same passion and atmosphere of a wood fire through state of the art, innovative technology. This has lead to the introduction of the electric fire place.

Though as so far ineffective to provide people with the facility to cook sausages and roast marshmallows over it, the electric fire place gives owners all the advantages of a gentle or roaring blaze (depending on their preference). A cozy, realistic fire is possible without having to deal with the hassles of smoke, ashes or clearing up.
Introduced to customers in the early 1990s, the electric fireplace became immensely popular. This was due to its ability to sound in anywhere. The portability, affordability, convenience and safety factors were all desirable qualities that encouraged people to bargain these fireplaces.

An electric fireplace can be plugged into a normal electrical outlet...please read further on a site that is all about this topic and more...
